Anglesea Golf Club is regarded as one of regional Victoria's finest and friendliest. Set in the beautiful hinterland of the Great Ocean Road, the course is an easy 1.5 hour drive from Melbourne and offers a challenging layout. The 1st nine holes (designed by Vern Morcom) were opened in December 1953. The 2nd nine holes opened in April 1961, completing a course with a par 72 rating.
Acquisition of further land in 1962 saw the 1st nine holes redesigned and completed in 1968, resulting in a current rating of 73. In the 1990s the fairways were transformed with Wintergreen Couch and in 2000, recycled water was connected. The course has 42 bunkers, 3 practice fairways, 2 practice putting greens and a 6-bay driving range.
The adjoining bushland and fairways are home to hundreds of Eastern Grey Kangaroos. The Clubhouse boasts a magnificent view down the 18th Fairway. Members of all ages are welcome. We look forward to welcoming you as a playing member, social golfer, or corporate group.
